PUBLICATIONS AND REPORTS

We at ASI firmly believe that archaeological consulting must be inextricably linked to scholarly analysis and dissemination of the recovered data. Indeed, we consider the removal of archaeological data without further consideration of the communication of the results of our work is tantamount to site destruction. We are committed to undertaking the analysis and interpretation of the sites we investigate in order to provide a greater understanding of the past. Moreover, we have a responsibility to the aboriginal community to communicate our findings since the recovered information represents an important component of their history.

Those sites that have the potential to make an outstanding contribution to knowledge are developed into scholarly articles or books for dissemination to the academic community. We are also committed to bringing this information to the general public through popular publications.

Given the time required to publish such material, we also recognize the importance of making the data available for the use of other researchers, through providing acces to the site reports we produce to satisfy government regulations.
