Guess the Artifact - The Answer

Rock Piles or Rock Cairns?

These rock piles are believed to be field stone piles, a by-product of field clearing, from early Euro-Canadian agricultural practices. However, some First Nation groups consider them to be unique rock formations with cultural interest referred to as rock cairns or travel features. These cairns are left as a memorial or marker of a mythical or historical event.
